At Knebworth Park Cricket Club we have a thriving juniors section offering cricket to over 200 boys and girls. Our goal is to grow the number of boys and girls playing cricket and to help children develop their cricket skills in a fun and safe environment.
Our inclusive environment and ethos provides opportunities to everyone, from 5 year old All Star cricketers just getting started to more experienced Herts County level juniors, and in-between!
We welcome girls and boys of all abilities to join us. We have teams from under 9 to under 17, and a pathway into senior cricket for those aged 13+. We are proud to see many current and graduated junior cricketers making up our four senior teams. We've seen rapid growth of father-son or daughter combinations in our senior teams in recent years - as the kids encourage parents to come out of cricket retirement!
Junior league matches are mid-week, with club training on Sunday morning with our qualified coaching team. We also run ‘Development’ matches on Sundays for juniors making their first steps into senior (adult) cricket.
We have a strong record of girls and boys progressing to play in North Herts Area and Hertfordshire County teams.
We also run our very popular ECB All Stars & Dynamos on Friday evenings. These programmes are designed to provide boys and girls their first taste of cricket. With over 120 All Stars and Dynamos participants, bar and BBQ and a bit of sunshine, Knebworth Park is the place to be on a Friday evening! We encourage our All Stars and Dynamos to transition from an 8 week programme to our junior age group teams.
