Another winning day
First, seconds and thirds all made it another winning day.
The first team raced to victory by four wickets over Potters Bar 2nds in a match that was finished well before 4 o'clock.
Tom Matthews picked up the key wicket of opener Dan Millard and with Archie Stephens taking another plus a Charlie Randall run out the visitors were 82 for 3, pegged back to progressing slowly.
Then with the introduction of spin Louis Champion 4 for 20 and Alex Richard 3 for 16 saw the visitors subside to 130 all out.
In reply The Park didn't hang around. Liam Carter fell surprisingly after three fours, before Champs 20, Dylan Van Der Westhuizen 24, Kobie Richmond 41 not and Archie Stephens 27 saw them race to their target in less than 20 overs.
Son & Dad Hobbs fire-up the 2s
The second team followed suit thanks to a superb son and father effort by Finn and dad James Hobbs.
Old Finchelians began promisingly reaching 147 for 3 before collapsing to 176 all out.
Initially the damage was done by another mean spell of 1 for 28 in ten overs by Saicharal Nandyala and left armer spinner Abe Gibson 3 for 18.
Then Finn Hobbs' spin snarled 4 for 17 before dad James led the team to victory with a fine 64, supported by skipper Rob Burnell 36 and Mark Winchester 44 not to add to his big ton the previous week as they closed on 177 for 2.
Drama in the drizzle in 3s clincher
In a tense and dramatic finish in the drizzle, the 3s held their nerve to finish with a narrow 5-run win.
Again Eddie Mably 58 them together with a solid 58 before being run out trying to move the run rate on.
Lewis Fung 26 and Ryan Ellis 25 quickfire knocks and Park threatened a decent score before they slid to 154 all out.
Park then tore into the OCs openers with Rhys Slack taking a wicket with his first ball, and Lewis Fung a wicket maiden with his first over leaving Camdenians reeling on 2 for 2.
They rallied to 40 before Ellis struck twice and Kajajan took his first Park wicket, leaving them 70-5.
The game was always in the balance whilst Sibtan ( 80) was at the crease but Shiva removed him in a great closing spell alongside some tidy Darren Hopcroft bowling.
Kajanan had already picked up his second wicket by then, leaving OC's needing ten from the last two overs, and nine in the final over.
In the last over despite a boundary being struck, no further runs were scored and a last ball run-out by Fung saw them finish 5 short and nine down.
Brave effort by young 4s team
It was a tough day for a youthful fourth team who went down gamely to an experienced Old Camdenians 4ths, still taking a handy 12 points in the process.
Chasing a mammoth 318 for 6, they replied with a commendable 162 all out, James Best top scoring with 33 and Richard Hollis 31 and Mark Heath 24 plus a handy 19 from young Fraser Fung at the end.
