Let’s get this out of the way early: we’ve probably got the best cricket setting in Hertfordshire. Add a genuinely friendly bunch, cold beer, and dangerously good burgers, and you might forget you came for the cricket at all. Don’t worry — there’s plenty of that too.

Knebworth Park fields four senior teams on Saturdays, battling it out in the Hertfordshire Cricket League in proper 50-overs-a-side fashion. With teams spread across the divisions, whether you’re a seasoned pro or still finding the middle of the bat, there’s a side for you.

Sundays bring friendlies and our crack at the Voneus National Village Cup.

Throw in the occasional six-a-side tournament and special event, and you’ve got days the whole family can enjoy — even the ones who “don’t really like cricket”.

Want to get better? Senior training runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm.

Still not enough? Our three fully enclosed, freshly refurbished nets are waiting for those who can’t quite walk past the ground without “just having a quick hit”.
